Yesterday, 52 companies from the Mechelen and Kempen region received the Voka Charter for Sustainable Entrepreneurship (VCDO), including A-kwadraat. As an SDG Champion , we have implemented no fewer than 22 initiatives focused on five major goals.
Highlights of A-kwadraat
Our mission remains to increase the employment rate of people who are distanced from the labor market and to promote employee well-being. The latter received a great deal of attention over the past year, including the many celebrations marking A-kwadraat 60th anniversary A-kwadraat various improvements to the interior and exterior of our buildings.
To promote A-kwadraat a reliable partner, we participated in numerous stakeholder events and organized events of our own. A highlight was the Open Company Day, which attracted 4,624 visitors.
We have created an inspiration room for customers of our wood department and established new partnerships, such as with Bear Creations, which works with locally sourced wood and now has a permanent spot in our store.
Sustainability in Action: Our Latest VCDO Certificate
Sustainability is an ongoing process. We remain committed to sustainable solutions, reducing our environmental impact, and taking a comprehensive approach to sustainability, together with our employees, customers, and other stakeholders.
